T here's just one month to go before the industry comes together at the 38th Motek international trade fair for automation in produc- tion and assembly. Together with the 13th Bondexpo – the international trade fair for bonding technology – it pro- vides a unique overview of the latest information and process- oriented industrial manufactur- ing. The focus is on the Arena of Integration (AoI) theme park where expert visitors will see demonstrations of how sys- tems, processes and compo- nents can be integrated in ways that are ready for deployment in daily industrial practice. Motek’s motto, “Smart Solutions for Production and Assembly”, underscores the fact that digi- talisation and integration are no longer simply a vision in indus- trial practice. This is particularly apparent and tangible in the Arena of Integra- tion (AoI) theme park. "Connec- tivity" is not just a buzzword, it's being applied in practice: use cases presented in the integra- tive theme park at the centre of hall 6 will provide expert visitors with concrete answers to cur- rent questions regarding intel- ligent production and process sequences in conjunction with digital applications. Arena of Integration: Automation Intelligence to GO! The trade fair promoter Schall is organising the special show together with its collaborative partner Mechatronics Network of Baden-Württemberg and around 30 exhibitors; in combination with the spectrum of offerings ex- hibited at Motek and Bondexpo, the trade fair event, taking place from 7 to 10 October in Stutt- gart, provides its professional audience with an internationally unique, comprehensive presen- tation covering all aspects of the value creation chains in modern production and assembly auto- mation. Practical applications and user benefits at the centre Motek is the traditional trade fair platform for the rapidly changing process automation sector. Exhibi- tors present customers and users with the latest currently deploy- able and future-proof solutions for deployment in industrial produc- tion. At the core of the portfolio of products and services at the inter- nationally recognised Motek infor- mation, communication and busi- ness platform are ultra-modern and now digitalised components, assemblies, subsystems and com- plete systems for automated pro- duction and assembly. In addition, the concurrent Bondexpo trade fair highlights de- tailed system solutions for bond- ing and joining components and assemblies in pre-assembly and final assembly. Even more thematic systemati- sation, even more international representation As in previous years, a total of almost 1,000 exhibitors are ex- pected to attend the two tradi- tional trade fairs – including from abroad. Exhibitors from 30 coun- tries will demonstrate how they support production and assembly automation; after Germany, the majority of exhibitors come from Italy, Switzerland, Taiwan, China and France. More than 130 exhibi- tors from the field of joining tech- nology alone will be represented; a special joining technology ex- hibition guide covering screwing technology, joining technology in use, press fitting and bonding, riveting technology, soldering and welding technology as well as the area of adhesion, sealing, casting and dosing will again be published. The exhibition organ- iser is also preparing a special show guide for assembly system manufacturers and robot system integrators; it lists over 75 provid- ers of turnkey assembly systems and more than 125 robot system integrators. Practical and feasible: Smart Solutions for Production and Assembly Motek mirrors the dynamically changing world of industrial production technology. In an at- mosphere that reflects practical reality, professional visitors will find answers to the questions that concern them in becoming a smart factory. The fair offers pro- fessional industry visitors an un- rivalled insight into how modern manufacturing processes should be shaped as part of the progres- sive and ongoing digitalisation of automation in order to remain efficient, profitable and competi- tive.
